It is the holidays now so expect to see much more activity on the blog.
I am (hopefully) planning to have all of my models sprayed (at least) and then have some serious work done on all my armies.

Ad Mech Army Update - Number 1

Hey there!

In this post, I will be going over what I have in my Cult Mechanicus and Skitarii army.

What I have:

• 1 Techpriest Dominus
• 6 Grav Kataphron Destroyers
• 2 Kastellan Robots + 1 Datasmith
• 10 Skitarii Rangers
• 10 Skitarii Vanguard
• 1 Ironstrider Ballistarii
• 1 Onager Dunecrawler
• 5 Sicarian Ruststalkers

That is my combined army.

Those with a keen eye, can easily see that it is built around the formation that gives free upgrades :D

There isn't anything else I need/want to get quite yet. Perhaps more Kastellan Robots, but I'm in no rush.

Oops

Hey there!

So, I have a confession to make.

My June deadline will not be completed on schedule, because I started a new project yesterday :/

I know that starting another army might not be the most responsible thing to do...
But the models are just too beautiful :D

So, yesterday, I chose to start a Dark Eldar with Harlequin allies force.
To start this, I bought the Start Collecting! box. This is great value for money. You save just under £30, which is pretty super.

I'll post pictures of my building process in a Dark Eldar/Harlequin Army Update, and then make a Dark Eldar/Harlequin Army Tactics post.

I'll also make army tactics posts for all of my other armies as well, in a short space of time, just as my way of saying sorry for not meeting the deadline.

Hobby Plan - June 2016

Hey there!

This post is just a small target setter for me, to keep progress running on my models.

What I want to achieve this month:

• Build other two knights
• Paint Ravenwing bikes
• Finish painting Deathwing
• Remove all BaC models from their bases, and add cork to said bases
• Spray Alpha Legion models black

Ok then, I think this is pretty possible. I'll post each of these tasks once they are completed, in their corresponding army updates along with images.

Officio Assassinorum Army Update - Number 1

Hey there!

In this (very short) post, I will talk about what I have in this "army" and.. well that's about it xD

What I currently have:

• Vindicare Assassin
• Callidus Assassin

So yeah... that's about it. I only got these two, because in my opinion they're the best out of the four. I'll probably go into detail why in a later post, but we shall see. I might consider getting a Culexus Assassin for some anti-psycher shenanigans, which would maybe help with my Ad Mech.

But yeah, that's all I got for this post.

Imperial Knight Army Update - Number 1

Hey there!

In this post, I will be briefly talking about what I currently have in this "army" and what I plan on perhaps getting/doing with it.
Note: This post will be particularly short, as, well... Imperial Knights is not a very large army.

What do I currently have?

• 1 Imperial Knight Warden
• 1 Imperial Knight Paladin
• 1 Imperial Knight Crusader

This army follows a similar theme to my Space "Wolves" army; lizards.

All three knights, are characterized as scavengers as well.

My knight warden has a scaly pelt hanging from his waist, and a tyranid skull on the avenger gatling cannon.

The other two knights have not been fully built yet, but I will post updates of conversions and painting progress.

There is nothing, as of now, that I want to get for this army, as three Imperial Knights are enough for me... but we will have to see... :D

Space "Wolves" Army Update - Number 1

Hey there!

In this post I am going to briefly talk about my current Space "Wolves" army, what I want to perhaps get in the future, and why I call them Space "Wolves" :D

What do I currently have?

• 9 Thunder"wolf" Cavalry riders
• 5 "Wulfen"
• 1 Stormfang Gunship
• 1 "Wolf" Lord on Thunder"wolf"
• "Logan Grimnar on Stormrider"

This is possibly one of my smallest, if not the smallest one of my armies. As you can see, I love the idea of space marines riding animals, dunno why, just do.

That's why this army is very much themed around that one unit.

What do I want to get in the future?

• 6 Thunder"wolf" Cavalry riders
• 2 Iron Priests on Thunder"wolfs"

And that's about it to be honest. With these units, I will have completed this "spam" army.

So, the big question, why do I call this army Space "Wolves"?

This theme will have very mixed views. Some will hate it, some will love it, and some might think it is down right blasphemy. But, here it is...

I call them this, because they do not ride wolves, but rather reptiles...

This requires me to convert the entire army, and really make it unique.

I will go into more detail in a later post about why I chose to do this, and how I am able to achieve it.

Alpha Legion Army Update - Number 1

Hey there!

In this post I will be briefly discussing what I currently have for my Alpha Legion army, and what I want to get/do with it in the future.

What do I have?

• 5 Cataphractii Terminators
• 20 Veteran Tactical Marines
• 5 Heavy Support Marines
• 5 Tactical Support Marines
• 5 Headhunters
• 1 Cataphractii Praetor
• Armillus Dynat

As you can probably already see, I did in fact buy the Betrayal at Calth box set. This is a very very good value for money, and highly recommend it for anyone who currently has/wants to start a 30k Heresy Legion army. 

What do I want to get in the future?

• Alpharius model/converted model
• Whirlwind Scorpius
• Deredo Dreadnought

Not that much, but this will really help with my philosophy behind this army.

I might also consider getting a second BaC just for the extra bodies, and ability to mix and match weapons and unit types.

I will go over my ideas and opinions of these individual units in a later post, along with what works and what doesn't.

Dark Angel Army Update - Number 1

Hey there!

In this post, I will quickly talk about what I currently have for my DA, and what I want to perhaps get in the future.

What do I have at the moment?

At the moment I have:

• 10 Deathwing Knights
• 10 Deathing Terminators
• 1 Deathwing Command Squad
• 3 Black Knights
• 6 Ravenwing Bikes
• 1 Land Raider Redeemer 
• Ezekiel
• Azrael
• 1 Terminator Librarian
• 2 Librarians
• 1 Company Master

So, looking at it, I have a fairly large DA army.

So when I first opened the codex, I instantly fell in love with the Deathwing. I thought the idea of guys in suits, designed to survive in the harshest conditions, was pretty sweet. I think my love of them can be seen in the number of terminators I own...

When DA got a 7th ed codex, I was disappointed, but happy at the same time. Deathwing took a slight nerf, but, in my opinion, Deathwing Knights got better. Furthermore, Ravenwing got a massive boost. This made me start wanting more bikers.

I've always liked the idea of guys using magic type powers in the distant, technological future. So when DA got their own psychic discipline, I flipped out.

So, what do I want to perhaps get in the future/work towards?

• Biker Librarian
• Ravenwing Black Knights
• Ravenwing Land Speeders
• Ravenwing Darkshroud/Land Speeder Vengeance
• Tactical Squads
• Assault Squad
• Devastator Squad

So, I think my plans might be quite obvious. But in case they're not, let me break it down.

I am wanting to work towards several of the book's formations.

I am wanting the Land Speeders to complete the two Ravenwing formations.

The libby on the bike, is just to complete my Librarius Conclave. A biker libby will add some diversity and speed, making it easy to place psychic powers where needed.

The Black Knights are just for... well I just want more :D

And finally, I want to build the only aspect of DA that I am lacking in... the Greenwing!

So I want to work towards the Battle Demi-Company. Having this will allow me to create a full Lion's Blade Strike Force, giving me that lovely full BS overwatch.

Of course, all of these units and formations won't be used on a daily basis all in one army. But it's good to have a variety of units to mix and match from, to make games more interesting.

So, that is my current army and what I want to do in the future.

Hey there!

Just wanted to make a quick post, talking a little about me, and what this blog will contain.

I created this blog to share my thoughts, armies, and everything encompassing Warhammer 40k.
I currently play (1, 2, 3...) a FEW armies, but sadly they need a little bit of TLC.
So in this blog, you can expect to see me post army updates, of my progress of painting and building said armies.
You'll also see my personal thoughts about current armies, and my ideas behind army lists.
